- Single-mass STEEL flywheel kit for Fiat 500X Cross 4X4, Jeep Compass and Jeep Renegade with the same 2000 engine and manual transmission, featuring a reinforced clutch and lightweight steel flywheel complete with pressure plate and ferodo clutch disc, including the ring gear for the starter motor already fitted to our flywheel, capable of handling torque up to 59 kgm depending on the model ordered!
- Our kit uses a ferodo disc (not copper) with a damper pack of 8 springs to compensate for replacing the dual-mass flywheel with a single-mass steel flywheel, rather than cast iron like the original dual-mass. There will be slight vibrations from the transmission around 1700–1800 rpm and mild rattling at idle, which cannot be eliminated, but do not cause any issues, as confirmed by long-time customers who continue to use it. The pedal will be slightly firmer than the original but nothing concerning.
- The total kit weight is approximately 16 kg compared to 17.6 kg for the original assembly.
- You must use the original release bearing, to be purchased separately as it is not included in our package. It is easy to find online and costs around 50 euros, the same as on the Giulietta.
- Always make sure the clutch assembly you purchase is suitable for your vehicle, although it is always possible to replace it with the correct type at no extra cost. In any case, after each order is received, one of our technicians will contact you to verify together the correct model for your application.
- Failures of the original dual-mass flywheel are known, as is slippage of the original clutch assembly when increasing stock horsepower, even just by ECU remapping, or when using trailers with a tow hitch on this Fiat 500X 334AXB22, 334AXD2B.
- Protoxide assumes no responsibility for any vibrations that may occur during normal engine operation due to removal of the original dual-mass flywheel, as our products are intended solely for competition vehicles where the only priority is higher performance at the expense of everything else—noise, comfort, and durability (especially when an application involves the use of copper materials).
- Engine compatibility: all Fiat Group and Jeep 2000 16v MJet Turbo diesel engines in the Jeep RENEGADE and JEEP COMPASS with engine code 552 63 088 - 552 63 087 diesel. For safety, check and compare your registration document with the highlighted sections shown in the photo of the document included in this product listing.
