- Ferrari 288 GTO externalwastegate , external valve replacement complete. This is one of the most important organs for the correct functioning of this engine. This is a complete wastegate valve replacement and it is not just the diaphragm as, just replacing the diaphragm alone does not guarantee a solution as it does not eliminate the problems of the original Ferrari wastegate valve which, due to age and use with high temperatures, lead to irreversible ageing on the original wastegate valves, with the original cast iron material 'starling' that even if you replace it with a new diaphragm, it will never work as well as it did when it was new, let alone like our American-made steel wastegate with special materials made for very high temperatures and under the highest conditions such as racing.
- The lack of the original Ferrari wastegate on the spare parts market is well known, given the many failures of this actuator or the diaphragm that are now off the market. Our wastegate valve is not the original wastegate but an American-made one, modified and adapted by ProtoXide's technical department. It is conceptually made with technologies and materials developed 30 years after the original Ferrari wastegate valve was built, so we guarantee such optimal and precise operation that even the original valve did not have as many years ago when it was new.
- Wastegate made in red or blue depending on availability, with technical characteristics far superior to the original Ferrari but always with the usual calibration, although we can provide calibrations with different springs (optional) that are easily interchangeable.
- It is replaced by removing the original wastegate, so in this way the original exhaust is always retained and there is no need to make any modifications that would lose the originality of this car, and in any case it guarantees perfect reversibility for the re-installation of the original wastegate should one wish to do so.
