Unique pressure gauge of its kind, it measures the revolutions of the turbine and therefore the speed with absolute precision with the possibility of also being used with a turbo pressure gauge. - Pressure gauge measures turbocharger rpm speed complete with very useful sensor for checking surge phenomena, leaks in the hoses or intercooler and for concretely understanding the possibilities that a turbocharger can still offer and understanding if there are margins for improvement with the turbocharger installed, in case we further increase the boost pressure.
- If a perforated seat is not already present, as all Gtx Gen2 and G series turbochargers have, it is necessary to prepare a hole on the intake scroll which allows the sensor to count the number of blades and thus obtain the precise revolutions to be read on the digital instrument 52mm round.
- Pressure gauge designed and manufactured in the USA that displays both digital and graphic numeric values of turbocharger speed on screen for better understanding , in real time. The instrument also provides a correctly linearized 0-5v output signal, to be used with acquisition systems, control units or dashboards.
- Preloaded options are included for Xona and BorgWarner intake impeller sizes with impeller speed limits defined by turbocharger performance island maps , thus changing the number of blades, with the ability to define the speed limits of any turbocharger.
- The instrument also has an optional output that allows it to be connected to a contact to warn the driver when the rpm limit is exceeded so it is possible to connect a light or a buzzer acoustic warning to be thus alarmed.
- The tool is designed to flash the display when the defined wheel speed limit is reached and also includes an output signal to trigger an external warning or control device.
- There is an optional 0-5 volt analog input to display in the same pressure gauge so it is possible to configure any sensor making it become a pressure gauge to also read another parameter. Therefore, by connecting one of our ProtoXide pressure sensors it will also be possible to use it as a turbo pressure gauge in the usual display with signal and full scale that can be linearized to your liking.
