External wastegate for Ferrari 208 GTB and GTS, version WITH INTERCOOLER, external valve complete replacement. It is one of the most important components for the correct operation of this engine. This is a complete replacement of the wastegate valve and not just the diaphragm, since replacing only the diaphragm does not provide a definitive solution and does not eliminate the issues of the original Ferrari wastegate. Due to age and prolonged exposure to high temperatures, the original cast-iron wastegates suffer irreversible degradation; even if you fit a new diaphragm, it will never function correctly as when new, let alone as well as our American-made steel wastegate, built with special materials designed for extremely high temperatures and maximum stress as in competition use.
The original Ferrari wastegate is notoriously unavailable on the spare parts market due to the frequent failures of this actuator or its diaphragm, which is no longer produced. Our wastegate is not the original Ferrari unit; it is American-made, modified and adapted by ProtoXide’s technical department. Conceptually, it is built with technologies and materials developed 30 years after the original Ferrari wastegate, ensuring performance so optimal and precise that even the original valve did not achieve when new.
Wastegate typically finished in black or natural aluminum (depending on availability), with technical characteristics far superior to the original Ferrari unit, but supplied with the same 0.8 bar setting. Different spring rates (optional) are available and easily interchangeable.
It replaces the original wastegate directly, so the original exhaust is retained and no modifications are required that would compromise the car’s originality. In any case, it guarantees perfect reversibility should you wish to reinstall the original wastegate.
We are the sole manufacturer of this wastegate, and we have produced it since 2008. A great many owners use it—essentially everyone who has had a wastegate failure—and it is recommended by many long-standing Authorized Service centers. It has been revised and further improved in recent years compared to earlier versions which already worked correctly; the updates make installation even easier, as confirmed by the many compliments from customers who have installed it and can once again use and properly operate the engine of the Ferrari 208.

Non riuscivo a trovarla e ho chiamato per avere il ricambio della membrana anche se la valvola del mio Ferrari 208 con intercooler era veramente ridotta male tutta massacrata all interno. Mi hanno suggerito di acquistare questa valvola wastegate lasciandomi anche un numero di telefono di uno che precedentemente l aveva acquistata , molto gentile Angelo, che mi ha girato le foto del montaggio della sua che ha tolto l originale mettendo questa e anche il tubo del marmittino originale rimonta perfettamente. Adesso ha pure le prestazioni migliori di prima !Competenti e professionali anche dopo post vendita. Super consigliata !
