- ProtoXide oversized pressure sensor up to 3 Bar absolute which is usually used on Fiat Alfa Lancia Turbo Diesel JTD MJET applications or on prepared petrol engines, when you want to manage a turbo engine with higher pressures.
- It allows you to continue reading the turbo pressure from -1 bar up to 2.1 bar, absolute as the pressure sensor is at 3.1 bar.
- This larger sensor prevents the engine warning light from coming on when the turbo pressure limit has been exceeded, especially in turbodiesel engines.
- We can also provide the linearization datasheet needed for programmable racing control units or data acquisition cards.
- This sensor can be replaced with the original one, thus having a higher scale, and it is also possible to replace it with 3-wire sensors (see second photo) just make a wiring harness or buy it already made from us.
- Even on Fiat 1300-1600 MJet engines with original 0281002845 or 0281006028, for example, it is possible to install it so you go from 2 bar to 2.5 bar of turbo for this sensor thus avoiding warning lights coming on and the engine works correctly by reading the real pressure.
- However, it is important to have the control unit modified with the correct linearization for this larger sensor to avoid failures already at idle speed.
- On this sensor it is also possible to activate a sensor fault control strategy as the voltage starts to read from 0.5 volts.
- It is also possible to purchase the electrical connector on the wiring side and the support separately to use it with a tube connection.
- The sensor has a 4-wire connector with the intake air temperature sensor also integrated.
